So much of what we call the "dark feminine" is simply the parts of women that have historically been shamed, feared or pushed underground.
These parts have been called sinful, chaotic, evil, dangerous or too much, and yet we believe so much of our aliveness and magnetism lives precisely there.
The feminine was never designed to be a small helpless victim. She literally grows a human being FFS!
The energy that connects us to our sexuality is the same primordial essence that binds us with nature and our womb.
This same "darker" feminine expression is the key to unlocking our full potential as woman.
Darkness is simply the opposite of light, we cannot have one without the other. Just as winter's death and decay comes before spring's renewal, she is the energy present in the deepest parts of the body, inside the womb's wisdom and the body's inner knowing.
For us, this work has also been deeply personal. We know what it is to be disconnected from our bodies. From mistrusting other women, living predominantly from the masculine and struggling with boundaries and our voice.
Our own journeys have been ones of continually coming deeper into our feminine embodiment. But the most powerful transformations have occurred through the energetics of the dark feminine.

The facilitators
Elodie Joy
Elodie Joy is a feminine initiation and embodiment guide who holds space for women to walk these initiatory rites of passage, utilising somatic and shadow work to become liberated.
A somatic guide and former registered nurse based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, Elodie works with women all over the world. Her work is rooted in the belief that every part of a woman, even the parts she's been taught to hide, silence or shame, is worthy, valid and true, and deserves to be reclaimed.
Elodie came to this work through her own deep personal journey, from ten years of disembodiment and disconnection working as a nurse in operating theatres, to walking a devoted path of feminine initiation and sovereignty through somatic healing and sensual liberation. For the past seven years, she has walked the path she now guides women through, and that lived experience is her greatest authority.
Her own journey into her dark feminine archetypes and working with the dark goddesses has been profoundly healing and so very liberating, opening her to deeper states of emotion, voice, eros, pleasure and aliveness. Reclaiming every part of herself as valid and beautiful, even the parts we've learned to shame.
As a trauma-informed practitioner, Elodie approaches every space she holds with sensitivity, depth and attunement, honouring each woman's nervous system, the pace of her body, and the uniqueness of her story.

Mistress Lotus Eros
Lotus Eros is a Professional Dominatrix, published author, speaker, educator and facilitator whose work explores power, eros & earth.
She is the co-author of Wild Eros, founder of Eros Erotic Temples, and co-host of the Sx Education Stage at SXhibition, where she brings conversations around pleasure and power into the mainstream.
With a background in environmental studies and wilderness guiding, Lotus has spent years facilitating people through experiences that bring them closer to themselves and the natural world. Her work has since expanded into professional domination, sacred sexuality, Temple Arts and feminine embodiment, with extensive training and mentorship across these fields.
At the heart of Lotus's work is a fascination with what happens when we stop suppressing the parts of ourselves we have been taught are too much.

Frequently asked questions
What's the format of the day?
A full-day, in-person immersion running from 9am–6pm. We will have morning/afternoon tea and a lunch break with the opportunity to have a swim or a sauna. The exact location will be sent out closer to the date.
Is this event trauma-informed?
Yes. While this isn't a trauma-processing space, it's held with trauma-informed care throughout. Everything is offered as an invitation, we recommend getting curious with your edges in a way that won't tip you over. You will be supported by facilitators and support crew trained in nervous system safety.
What kind of emotional expression should I expect?
This is a space where emotions can be expressed authentically i.e. anger, rage release, grief, sadness, ecstatic laughter, pleasure, sensuality. Any emotional expression is welcomed here, as part of expressing your unique flavour. You will be provided with some tools to regulate yourself if you become overwhelmed.
I've never done embodiment or shadow work before, is this still for me?
This work goes deep, and while all levels are welcome, some prior experience with somatic or embodiment practices will help you get the most from the day. It may bring up unresolved material. If you're brand new to this kind of work, reach out to us beforehand so we can make sure you feel supported.
Will there be any physical touch involved, from facilitators or other participants?
Yes, but everything is done with consent. Sometimes supportive touch might be offered to help you regulate if you become activated during the day.
Will there be nudity?
This is a space where the woman attending may feel called to embody their sensuality and through expression which may include removing clothing. It is possible you may see nudity. Approach the space with whatever level you are at in regards to your own level of coverage.
What's your refund/cancellation policy?
A refund will be given if the event doesn't go ahead, or in the case of any unforeseen circumstances on our end. There are no refunds for personal cancellations. Name changes are acceptable before 48hrs of start time of the event.
